Inscribed on the title page in blue ink, "To Nancy, with warmest personal wishes...Mardo." This copy also contains a short note by the author, typed on their own letterhead and then signed "Mardo" in blue ink. "Nancy" is Nancy Wrenn, a veteran of World War II who served with The Red Cross in the Pacific Theater and who later co-founded Camp Awa-Niko outside of Asheville, NC.
