18 Poems
London: The Sunday Referee and The Parton Bookshop, 1934. First Edition, First Printing. Hardcover. Octavo. 5.75 x 8.75 in. 36 pp. Very good in the original black cloth boards with gilt titling on a flat spine, indicating that this is one of the 250 printed copies from the first issue. The boards have a slight bow, but the cloth remains clean and free of markings and surface wear. There is minor foxing throughout and a prior owner's name and date appear on the front free endpaper. The signature reads H.W. Treece, who was likely Henry Treece, a fellow poet who wrote critically of Thomas's work. Very Good. Item #6648
A handsome copy of the poet's first book as first published in 1934.
