Caldecott Honor Book. Brown wrote the well-loved Goodnight Moon and Runaway Bunny. Illustrator Jean Charlot is associated with the Mexican Mural Movement, working alongside other artists such as Diego Rivera and José Clemente Orozco, while learning Nahuatl (a living Aztec language) and leaning into the avant-garde woodcut that became affiliated with pre-revolutionary Mexico newspapers and publicity. Charlot taught briefly at the first Summer Institute of Black Mountain College, where two frescos still remain in a state of conservation.
